The Illinois State University Department of Agriculture offers a variety of scholarships for students entering the Department of Agriculture as freshman or community college transfers. Recipients must be full-time students enrolling in an appropriate program of study within the Department of Agriculture. Your application will be considered for all scholarships for which you qualify. Usually no more than one scholarship will be awarded to a student in a given semester or academic year. Awards to entering freshmen of $3,000 per year (distributed at $1,500 per semester following certification of qualification). Scholarship criteria are primarily academic. Ask for the full description and details from the Illinois State Department of Agriculture.
Awards up to $2,000 per year to incoming freshmen or transfer students or continuing students enrolling or enrolled in the Department of Agriculture at Illinois State University. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of major & sequence, academic achievement, leadership and citizenship. One criteria is a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 in high school or community college for entering students and at ISU for continuing students.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman or transfer student enrolling in an agricultural curriculum at Illinois State University. Selection will be based on demonstrated academic achievement and leadership abilities.
These scholarships are awarded to two incoming freshmen enrolling in the Department of Agriculture at Illinois State University. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, citizenship and dedication to agriculture during high school.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman with a major in the Department of Agriculture at ISU. Selection is based upon academic excellence, leadership and citizenship.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman enrolling in the Department of Agriculture at Illinois State University. Selection will be based on academic excellence and leadership as exhibited by ACT score, high school GPA and high school and civic activities.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman enrolling in the Department of Agriculture at Illinois State University. The criteria for selection are: resident of McLean County, proven record of high academic achievement, activities, and demonstrated leadership qualities.
Five scholarships awarded to transfer students or incoming freshmen enrolling in an agricultural curriculum at Illinois State University. Recipients, or family of recipients, must be Illinois farmers and selection will be based on academic excellence as exhibited by ACT score, high school or community college GPA, high school class rank, as well as participation in leadership activities.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman enrolling in an agricultural curriculum at Illinois State University. Students from Colchester, Illinois, or the Colchester area will be given preference, and selection will be based on academic achievement and leadership activities.
One scholarship awarded to a transfer student enrolling in an agricultural curriculum at Illinois State University. Recipient must be a community college graduate who ranks in top 25 percent of graduating class. Selection will be based on academic excellence and extracurricular activities with preference given to those with farm backgrounds and leadership experience in 4-H/FFA.
Two scholarships for freshmen or transfer students or for continuing students enrolling in an agricultural curriculum at Illinois State University. Selection will be based on leadership. Preference will be given to a current or former State FFA officer or Section president. Concurrent participation in a Departmental club or serving as an Agriculture Associate is required. Must maintain a minimum 2.50 grade point average (4.0 scale).
Up to 6 scholarships to incoming freshmen or transfer students enrolling as full-time students in an agricultural curriculum at Illinois State University. Selection is based on academic excellence as demonstrated by various factors including ACT/SAT scores, high school or community GPA, and class rank.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman or transfer student majoring in horticulture. Selection is based upon academic excellence and leadership.
One scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman or transfer student with a major in the Department of Agriculture at ISU. Selection is based upon demonstrated interest in the dairy industry, academic excellence, and leadership.
