General Agriculture

This sequence is designed specifically to accommodate a second major or minor along with the study of agriculture. Students can develop their own individualized program of study combining a holistic set of classes in Agriculture and a related field.

Curriculum

Students in this program take courses in various areas of agriculture and are required to also complete a second major or a minor. General education courses that are required include, biology (BSC 196 or 197) and general chemistry (CHE 110/112 or 140).

Visit the online Undergraduate Catalog for more about curriculum requirements, course descriptions, general education requirements, and additional degree requirements.

Career Opportunities Available to Our Graduates

Students graduating with a degree in agriculture have great career opportunities available to them. Nationally the job market is excellent. A recent U.S. Department of Agriculture study indicates that there will be a significant shortage of college-educated individuals in the scientific and business specialties associated with the U.S. food and agricultural system.
