Department of Agriculture activities occur in two campus buildings and at the University farm. The Ropp Agriculture Building houses Department and faculty offices, classrooms, a modern greenhouse, and laboratory space. Laboratory space includes facilities for meat science, agricultural engineering technology, and horticulture. Turner Hall houses the plant and soil science laboratory, computer laboratories, and a nutrition research laboratory. The University farm is located on Interstate 55 with access from Lexington, approximately 20 minutes from campus. The farm is utilized extensively for teaching, research, and outreach activities.
